Common Classifications Of Fiberglass Pipes

Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) pipes have several different classifications, with nine common types.

 

The first type is FRP desulfurization pipes. These are desulfurization devices used in various industrial fields, such as the chemical, metallurgical, and power industries. They are primarily used to purify harmful gases such as hydrogen chloride (HCl), hydrogen fluoride (HF), ammonia (NH3), sulfuric acid mist (H2SO4), chromic acid mist (CrO3), and hydrogen cyanide (HCN). Thanks to its unique desulfurization and dust removal principle, its desulfurization absorption efficiency reaches up to 95%, saving water resources and reducing air pollution.

 

The second type is fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) sand-filled pipe. Made from resin, glass fiber, and quartz sand using a special process, it operates at temperatures below 80℃ and is suitable for various soil types. Its applications include drinking water transportation, sewage discharge, seawater transportation, power plant circulating water pipelines, transportation of corrosive media in chemical plants, oil and gas transportation, and agricultural irrigation. It boasts advantages such as light weight, long single-pipe length, high strength, impact resistance, diverse connection methods, good sealing, and corrosion resistance.

 

The third type is FRP pressure pipe, primarily used in scenarios requiring pressure resistance to transport various media. It operates stably within the specified pressure range, ensuring smooth media delivery.

 

The fourth type is FRP cable protection pipe, providing excellent protection for cables, especially in environments with interference and severe corrosion. It effectively prevents cables from being affected by external factors, ensuring safe operation.

 

The fifth type is FRP water pipeline, commonly used in water conservancy projects such as farmland irrigation canals and urban water supply systems. Its corrosion resistance ensures high-quality water and has a long service life.

 

The sixth type is fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) insulated pipes, which play a role in temperature-sensitive transportation scenarios, such as maintaining the temperature of the medium or preventing it from being affected by external temperatures.

 

The seventh type is FRP ventilation pipes, commonly used in ventilation systems. They smoothly guide airflow, and their material properties make them excellent in terms of corrosion resistance, adaptable to various ventilation environments.

 

The eighth type is FRP sewage pipes, specifically designed for discharging various types of wastewater, including domestic sewage and industrial wastewater. Their corrosion resistance ensures they won't easily break down during long-term sewage discharge, allowing them to fulfill their sewage discharge function normally.

 

The ninth type is FRP jacking pipes, which have unique advantages in specific scenarios such as underground pipeline construction. For example, when large-scale excavation is inconvenient, jacking pipe technology can be used to lay pipelines, effectively meeting construction requirements and completing the pipeline laying work.
