How are FRP pressure pipes manufactured?
If you step inside the plant, you won't hear the harsh noise of metal cutting or strong odors. Instead, automated robotic arms operate rhythmically, accompanied by the faint scent of curing resin. Currently, two mainstream production processes dominate: centrifugal casting and filament winding. Our company adopts the continuous filament winding method. Because it is preferred for high-pressure pipes due to its superior control over fiber orientation and pressure-bearing capacity.
Core Production Processes of Fiberglass Pressure Pipe are as follows:

Liner Formation
Production begins with a steel mandrel. A resin-rich layer containing a surface veil is spray-applied onto the rotating mandrel to form the corrosion-resistant inner liner.
Structural Layer Winding
A computer-controlled winding machine moves the creel, precisely winding resin-impregnated glass fibers onto the liner at accurately calculated angles to build the structural layer.

External Protective Layer
After the structural layer is complete, a resin-rich external proctective layer is applied.
Curing and Demolding
Once the resin is fully cross-linked and cured, reaching the designed strength, a demolding machine pushes the pipe off the steel mandrel.
